RE: Hamas Pledges Attacks on Israel
http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-gaza10jun10,1,7801457,print.story?coll=la-headlines-world

Dear Editor,

By hook or crook racist Israel, generously subsidized and protected by political Zionism's world wide war on Palestine, will destroy the Palestinians in every way way possible- corrupting every conversation in every way it can. And foolishly Hamas falls for Israel's latest gambit, enabling our headlines to attack and insult the persecuted and impoverished Palestinians once again.

Mutual restraint ? There is nothing in the least bit mutual about this situation. Political Zionism has imprisoned and demonized the Palestinians and coerced America into arming Israel's genocide.

Why should we care about this seemingly far away problem ? Because racist Israel in destroying Palestine- has been destroying America too.

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

RE: Hamas to renew attacks
http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/nationworld/bal-mideast610,0,4004728.story?coll=bal-nationworld-headlines

Dear Editor,

We only add momentum to this endless cycle of escalating hate and violence by headlining Hamas' foolishness in falling right into an Israeli laid trap.

Political Zionism's ethnic cleansing of Palestine utilizes every trick plus some to demonize and decimate the native non-Jewish population. Divide, distract and destroy. Better yet lure and lead the Palestinians into destroying themselves.

100 years of this blatantly racist toxic ideology have made the Holy Land a modern man made hell for the real children of the land, the persecuted and impoverished Palestinians. And America is paying for this mess both coming and going.

Want to stop the so called clash of civilizations- then stop racist Israel's war on us all: Don't let yourself be yet another pawn, another puppet for toxic anti-American/Zionist propaganda.

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

RE: Israeli Fire Kills 7 Beachgoers in Gaza
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/09/AR2006060900214.html

Dear Editor,

Israel's latest attack is just one of many in a long series of injustices large and small designed to make life as miserable as possible for the imprisoned, impoverished and oppressed Palestinians. What a shame that Hamas foolishly fell right into this Israeli laid trap by ending their ceasefire.

And on and on it goes, with violence and hate mongering escalating every where world wide, with every group it can infiltrate and destroy being affected by political Zionism. But rather than worrying about Hamas right now I am more worried about our own Congress- our own democracy hijacked and undermined by a foreign county. Our "friend" modern man made Israel.

Palestine's children are starving and being traumatized by political Zionism's war on all of Palestine- a blatantly racist war that extends across oceans, attacking our own freedoms and impoverishing our own children right here at home in America: All for Israel. Racist Israel.

I am quite convinced that for all our sakes - for all of humankind- for civilization itself- we must divest in every way possible from political Zionism and that toxic fantasy misnamed "The Jewish State".

Invest in our true heritage and a decent future for all our children: Let Palestine return in full- with real freedom and democracy... and a just and lasting peace.

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

RE: Palestinian Peace Politics
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/06/10/opinion/10sat1.html

Dear Editor,

Most Palestinians, imprisoned and oppressed, trapped, and very much tormented by the ever present apparatus of political Zionism, who currently claim to want two separate states have been bullied, bribed, manipulated and even charmed by racist Israel, the omnipotent occupier, into accepting forced transfer and segregation. Thats called duress.

Approving of and advocating institutionalized bigotry will not make the Zionist war on all of Palestine go away. Nor will it help America's reputation abroad as we refuse to fully face the facts. It does however make it ever so much easier for Israel the war monger to claim "withdraw" while actually blasting away with many types of insults large and small... including this latest IDF slaughter of a Palestinian family picnicking on the beach.

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

I learned that 10 palestinians have been been by Israeli shelling in northern Gaza as they were picnicing on the beach. 3 of them were children-two under the age of two. And their mother. And forty others wounded. We called my Aunt, who works with the al-Awda hospital in northern Gaza. She was hysterical, and this is a woman who seldom loses her grip.... She just spoke of blood and body parts, and how one of the cameramen at the hospital couldn't hold it together and dropped his camera as he was filming after he heard a bloodied, batterd girl crying out for her father.

Even the mainstream Israeli peace movement is full of right wingers who defend the Separation Wall as a just public policy measure. That they morally defend aspects of the occupation as the costs of building the Israeli state is a position built on a lie and only serves those interests which continue to perpetuate unjust policies. Hiding behind the ‘peace movement’ does not absolve them from receiving fair criticism. It was evidently not enough for Lieberman that, as a Russian-speaking immigrant fresh off the plane, he was instantaneously granted rights and privileges denied to Palestinians born in the very country to which he had just moved (not to mention those expelled during the creation of Israel in 1948). The very presence of an indigenous non-Jewish population in Israel was, in effect, unacceptable to him. In 1999, he formed a party called Yisrael Beiteinu ("Israel our Home"), made up largely of other Russian immigrants for whom the presence of Palestinians is also unacceptable. Lieberman's party believes what all Israelis believe: that Israel is a Jewish state. Unlike the more respectable Israeli parties, however, Lieberman's party is willing to add that because Israel is a Jewish state, non-Jews are not welcome. Even if they were born there. RE: 'Forward strategy of freedom' by Austen Bay
http://www.washtimes.com/commentary/20060608-084728-9526r.htm

Dear Editor,

The only way to actually implement a viable
'Forward strategy of freedom' and defeat the threat that Austen Bay refers to as "Islamo-fascism" is to fully divest emotionally and financially from our nefarious "friend" Israel. Racist Israel As in that modern man made war on Palestine. That generously subsidized armed Zionist fiasco of injustice and institutionalized bigotry misnamed "The Jewish State". That home wrecking killing machine that builds walls of hate and undermines peace everywhere.

Israeli advice got us into this mess in Iraq and Zionist warriors are undermining American freedom and democracy in every way they can, making us all wage slaves and cannon fodder for political Zionism.

Take back America with real freedom and democracy- with full equality and respect- protect our heritage and our future... rise up and refuse to help racist Israel destroy us all !

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

RE: Israeli Airstrike Kills Hamas Official in Gaza
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/08/AR2006060801605.html

Dear Editor,

Israeli deploys yet another extra judicial execution, planting bombs and chaos, suffering and strife where ever it can, hoping to make imprisoned Palestine implode and self destruct with pain, rage and confusion.

Israel, all of it, including every word put out by its propaganda machines churning out promos for political Zionism, is an attack on vulnerable and traumatized children who have done nothing wrong but be born Palestinian in a time and age when that apparently has become a crime... and Israel is an attack on America too. An intentional corruption of every ideal we are supposed to hold dear. Freedom and democracy with full and equal rights for all ? !!!

We should be outraged and furious by the mess racist Israel has made of the Holy Land, and we should be disgusted by the bad advice and "secrete evidence" that the Zionist Entity plants every where it can, inspiring hate mongering campaigns in every forum and encouraging war world wide.

Invest in peace- divest from racist Israel- all of it... including every manipulative deceitful word. Stop the clock on this time wasting dialogue with institutionalized bigotry, escalating injustice- and barbaric brutality!

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

Dear Editor,

Thank you for publishing Drina Brooke's excellent letter on al-Zarqawi, concerning the charges of terrorism and the burden of proof... and the lack of due process.

I find this Israeli inspired policy of smear campaigns followed by targeted assassinations utterly abhorrent and simply do not understand why with all our sophisticated technology we can not capture suspects and use the rule of fair and just laws and legal proceedings to stop this misguided war on and of terror.

Why do people not see that state sponsored terrorism and war is every bit as evil and ugly and wrong as all types of armed violence and crimes against civilians ! And why does a bank robber get condemned and imprisoned for years while corporate criminals robbing millions of people of their jobs and even their life savings basically get a slap on the wrist ? !!

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

RE: Isolating Israel does only harm
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/letters/articles/2006/06/09/isolating_israel_does_only_harm/

Dear Editor,

"
Isolating Israel does only harm" ? !!! This makes no sense at all, and is really sheer hypocrisy on Israeli supporters' part: Israel actively displaces, demonizes, isolates and starves- and harms- the Palestinians, oppresses them in every way possible, totally boycotts their basic human rights and yet Zionists loudly claim that divestments and boycotts in response to such crimes against humanity are wrong !

If boycotts are so wrong then please Israel stop boycotting peace and the Palestinian refugees inalienable right of return. Stop boycotting real freedom and democracy with full and equal rights for all. Stop boycotting international law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Stop boycotting the truth about Palestine...

58 years of dialogue with Israel has only brought the persecuted Palestinians more pain and suffering... plus that monstrous apartheid wall. 58 years of dialogue with Israel has only encouraged political Zionism, subsidizing institutionalized bigotry and more Israeli home wrecking maneuverings with American's money and weaponry. 58 years of dialogue with Israel has only made racist Israel the political entity more real and more ugly than it should be. No more dialogue please- Racist Israel and the Zionist war on Palestine is simply and completely wrong !!!

Sincerely,
Anne Selden Annab

CUPE now joins the growing global international campaign, begun on July 9, 2005, by over 170 Palestinian organizations, including the Palestinian General Federation of Trade Unions for boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel. Another vote, recently taken by NATFHE, the Union of University and College Lecturers in England, supports a boycott of Israeli academic institutions. They cite the purposeful silencing of Palestinian academic freedom through the systematic destruction of Palestinian educational institutions.

Last November, the United States Green Party became the first political party to publicly endorse a statement calling for a comprehensive strategy ofboycott and divestment to pressure the government of Israel to end its abuse of human rights in Palestine. These latest in a series of similar international decisions signal the determination of civil society to put an end to the unjust and oppressive conditions imposed on the Palestinian People by the Israeli government..

Death toll raises as Israeli forces continue daily attacks on Gaza Strip, killing three Palestinians and injuring five east of Gaza City .... Not again,” residents decry. When the Israeli settlers and military ‘withdrew’ from the Gaza Strip at summer’s end, many believed they finally had a chance for a normal life without checkpoints and attacks, but this did not happen. Others believed the point of the ‘withdrawal’ was to trade the West Bank for the Gaza Strip, which is in the process of happening. A fourth Palestinian died from injuries sustained during last night’s Israeli attack on the National Security Office in northeastern Gaza.

Still others believed that once the settlers and military were no longer inside the Strip, Israeli forces planned to attack from the air, sea, and borders, which they continue to control and occupy, without fear of repercussion. And this is what is precisely what is happening.

The occupation of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia is moving further south, with the northern Strip now declared an “isolation zone.”

Palestinian medical sources reported that Israeli forces killed three more Palestinians last night, east of Gaza City. They were “too close to the fence.” Israeli soldiers opened fire from their occupation posts along the border, killing the three Palestinians and injuring another four. http://www.pnn.ps/english/archive2006/jun/week2/080606/report1.htm

To make the picture clearer, imagine if Nelson Mandela was asked to recognize the Apartheid state in South Africa as a condition to be recognized. Starving Palestinians: What such a surrealist view? The taxi driver (an out of work computer programmer) explained to me that this was all a part of an elaborate Israeli policy to weaken and tear apart Palestinian civil society, causing them to turn on each other, or to get up and leave Palestine for good. He assured me though that this cannot and will not happen and that Palestinians continue to display a sense of perseverance and fortitude that is unmatched. That despite all the Jewish state has done and continues to do, the Palestinians will continue to exist and thrive on their native soil, not unlike the ancient olive trees that dot the Palestinian landscape… Uncertainty and Wasted Time by Mike Odetalla www.hanini.org

Israel, with a population of roughly 6.3 million, receives more U.S. aid each year than any other country, and has held that distinction since 1976. Between 1949 and 1996, Israel received $62.5 billion in foreign aid. http://imeu.net/news/article001446.shtml

Such changes will make Israel unlike any state we have seen in modern times. In 1980, at the height of apartheid in South Africa, the courts there refused to approve legislation much like Israel's ban on family unification, arguing that it contravened the right to a family life. In Israel, on the other hand, no one - not even the courts - is prepared to safeguard the most basic rights of the land's native people.
